Purification of collagen is remarkable
Collagen is a biological macromolecular substance, a white, opaque, and non-branched fibrous protein. It is the main component of animal connective tissues and is also a functional protein with a relatively high content and wide distribution in mammals, accounting for 25% to 30% of the total protein content. In some organisms, it can even reach over 80%. It has the effect of enhancing the activity of collagen in the skin, moisturizing the skin, delaying aging, beautifying, reducing wrinkles, and promoting hair growth.
Traditional collagen production process:
Collagen can be dissolved in various extraction media with different pH values and concentrations. According to the different extraction media, the extraction of collagen can be classified into five categories: namely, hot water extraction method, salt method, acid method, alkali method, and enzyme method, etc. The basic principle is to change the external environment of the protein based on the characteristics of collagen, and separate collagen from other proteins. In the actual extraction process, different extraction methods are often combined with each other.
